THE RESTAURANT THAT SATISFIES

It's that time again when you, together with your family, goes out
and decides what restaurant to eat at or what movie to watch in the big
screen. What I did with my family, we went out and decided to eat what Kettle had
to offer. We went to the Kettle branch in the East Wing building of the
Shangri-La Plaza. Let me tell you what was on my mind when I saw the orders of
the other customers: It. Looked. Delicious. The American and European cuisine
Kettle settled for is really worth your money.
So far, there are two
branches of Kettle here in the country. One in Shangri-La Plaza and the other
is in SM Aura. The atmosphere in Kettle had a mix of simplicity as well as
being fancy. They gave the restaurant a minimalist feel because of the plain
solid colors of black, white and red around the seats, walls and ceiling, but
nonetheless, the place was great.
Smoked Salmon Salad / Php 289
The first order that was set down on our table was the Smoked Salmon
Salad with freshly ground pepper as the last touch. It was truly a delicious
treat because of the zing of the lemon squeezed and mixed in the salad. The
ranch dressing definitely added flavor to the lettuce, and the salmon was a
good combination to this type of salad. This was a good start in dining at
Kettle because it was light and healthy at the same.
Buttermilk Fried Chicken / Php 559
The next thing was their bestseller: The Buttermilk Fried Chicken. It
was served with three pieces of cornbread muffins along with gravy for the chicken
and syrup for the muffins. One order of this bad boy could satisfy 2-3 people,
if not maybe until 4. It was truly the best because their chicken didn’t
disappoint! To be honest, it was one of the best that I’ve ever tasted. Crunchy
on the outside, but moist and juicy on the inside. Really prefect. What
I love about this chicken is that you could really taste the spices and the
other flavors thrown in on your tongue. This Buttermilk Fried Chicken is a must
have when you come in and order at Kettle! It wouldn’t fail your taste buds.
Steak Fries and Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes / Both Php 89

What we ordered on the side were the Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and
the Steak Fries. The mashed potatoes may look small to you, but it really makes
your stomach full. These two are the best when pairing it up with the
Buttermilk Fried Chicken. For me, the fries were really good. What I like about
it is that it's not greasy on your hands when you grab a handful of it. Also,
both the mashed potatoes and fries are at a reasonable price, so you could go on ahead and buy another order if you can't get enough of it!
Eating at Kettle had been an amazing treat. From the chatty atmosphere
that filled the restaurant to the Grade A meal prepared by them. It may be a
bit pricey, but the servings wouldn't disappoint you, making the dining
experience there worth it! I was satisfied with the food we've ordered,
specifically the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. I would say a whole lot more about
it, but no words could describe it. It's just that good. I
wouldn't mind coming back to Kettle because once you've had a taste of the food
from Kettle, it'd bring you back for more.
